James Taylor is deeply concerned about the experience that his five-pound JUJU had last weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Taylor recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."
Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. James has accused Puppylux of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.
James described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.
Puppy animal abuse at zoos Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.
Fox called Puppylux, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
